I'm New

Welcome

Christ Our Hope Anglican Church is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

Christ Our Hope is a Liturgical Church

Depending on your background, our service may come as a bit of a culture shock! Let us give you a brief introduction so you know what to expect.

Our worship service is a traditional Anglican Communion or Eucharist Service. It is a reflective and joyous service that combines readings from the Bible, a blend of hymns and modern worship songs, ancient prayer practices, and communion.

Our liturgy (which means ‘the work of the people’) is grounded in practices dating back to the early church and is a common script we use for worship. It helps keep us all on the same page, while giving us room for the Spirit. These liturgies connect the body of Christ today with the Historic Church. The liturgy come from the Book of Common Prayer (2019).

Our liturgical practices are governed by the Latin phrase "Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi," which essentially means “the rule (law) of prayer is the rule of faith.” In other words, how you worship demonstrates what you believe.

Our liturgy shows what Christians have done since the beginning of the Church in Acts 2—namely, they gather for the apostles’ teaching, prayer, fellowship, and breaking bread (communion).

What To Expect

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our Music Director. There is childcare available, but children are welcome (and encouraged) to participate in worshiping our dear Father in heaven. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and to meet new people.
