Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is dear to us here at Christ Our Hope, because we believe children are dear to the heart of our Lord. We believe they are his “little lambs” and we take to heart our responsibility to nourish them in the ways of the Lord.

Our Philosophy of Children’s Ministry explains in detail our understanding of children and how they are spiritually formed within the community of the church and family.

Our Sunday School programs span the foundational years of youth as they introduce and grow the child in the rich soil of the historical Christian faith and the biblical stories and teachings.

And during the Sunday Holy Communion, our children are involved throughout the year, not only worshiping right along side us, but also, through various seasonal songs and activities; participation in the Children’s Sermon; and even having opportunities to serve in the worship of the church. We invite any family with young children who desire to nurture them in the ways of the Lord to please join us, as we attempt to be faithful to this high calling.

A Prayer for Children:

O Lord Jesus Christ, you embrace children with the arms of your mercy, and make them living members of your church. Give them grace, we pray,  to stand fast in your faith, to obey your word, and to abide in your love. So that being made strong by your Holy Spirit they might resist temptation and overcome evil; and we pray that they would rejoice with you in the life that now is, and dwell with you in the life that is to come. And we ask this through your merits, O merciful Savior, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns one God, world without end. Amen.
